Rubbish neighbours

Our neighbours should take note, financial powerhouse Leicester city sent their first team to conference north neighbours Hinckley tonight, giving hinckley a new record attendance for their newer ground  of 3,411.......

I know what you mean.  Manchester United or City send their reserves to Moss Lane and you scour the programme for any big names and Ravel Morrison pops up.  However the big guns around here are wanting to promote their name around the world.  The games against Burnley are a good test so lets hope that continues every pre-season.

In fairness to United, their reserves play here which is a pretty big financial contribution. Hardly rubbish neighbours on that score.

We're not in the same borough as City and they 'help out' another non league neighbour who are closer than us.

It seems that when we play them not too many turn up because the local MU and MC fans see so much of them, whereas in far flung places like Hinckley its more of a one off so there are bigger attendances, and Leicester are HUGE :D

The reality is that the Leicesters of this world don't have a global market to appease

Ahh Leicester.  Home to Englands tallest remaining Roman Walls, a space centre and Svens old house.  ta for the picture of Filbert Street, quite a few visist there over the years.  Never a great atmosphere if I'm honest.
