Because, in the opinion of the Referee, the challenge neither denied an OBVIOUS goalscoring opportunity nor endangered the safety of an opponent.

An for a goalscoring opportunity to be OBVIOUS in this context it has to be more likely than not that a goal will be scored, not just that a shot at goal will be had

Yes having seen the footage on AltyTV the opposing defender is coming across, apologies for almost causing arguments with the travelling nuneaton press people
