Wembley FC sign......
« on: June 21, 2012, 09:11:45 PM »

Wembley FC have signed former England internationals  Graeme Le Saux, Martin Keown, and Ray Parlour. They have also signed former argentinian striker Claudio Caniggia and former American striker Brian McBride for their upcoming FA cup fixtures. Wembley FC have also appointed David Seaman as goalkeeping coach and Terry Vennables as technical advisor.
No this is not football manager, this is all thanks to a new sponsorship deal with a famous brand of beer.

What a real boost to the players who play in the league and county cup games.

I know it's largely for publicity, but if those blokes play it's going to be highly embarrassing, surely? In my mind's eye I see 46 year-old Martin Keown getting stripped for pace by some rangey young black London lad who combines his part-time football with a job as a fitness instructor.

I hope they get raped 10-0 by a nice little respectable club. Dulwich Hamlet or someone.

Apparently they will only play in the FA cup. Its a ploy to get Wembley too Wembley.
A slap in the face for their regular players. Imagine if they draw a big premier league team in the 3rd round. Shouldnt the regulars play and not these ex players.  Mind you, cant see them getting that far.

They're not going to get through the qualifiers just by signing a load of fat ex-pros are they, though?

It's a stupid publicity stunt which is a slap in the face for their "regular" players.

How long before they sign Twiss up for one last payday?   :D

Yeah, why not just get a pantomine horse in goals, some female mud wrestlers in defence, a selection of clowns and jugglers in midfield and Ron Jeremy and the Pope up front?

Sorted.
