Hewson departs
« on: March 21, 2011, 09:12:07 PM »

Hewson has been released. He made 14+ 9 appearances for Alty.

Showed some skill, but really struggled fitness wise. Shame really, as when he did play he looked like a decent attacking option.

Thanks for the effort.

Great news...sorry but that's how I feel.

I can't abide people who are good at football but can't be arsed to get fit.

an obvious talented lad who chose not to dedicate himself to football at the lower level..

Sam if you read this, get yourself fit lad your still young enough to make a decent living out of the game.  Dont fk up the chance you have there are hundreds of kids out there  who would give there right arm to have the chance you had...

No-one can honestly say there are surprised. Yet another lad who will waste undoubted talent because of a poor attitude. We're in a scrap and we cant afford to carry any passengers. That the lad was in United's ressies in the recent past and now has been released by us says it all.

If he doesn't get himself fit and amounts to nothing then what a waste of talent that will be, he had a great chance with us but we can't carry passengers... I'd give so much to have the ability he does, to have the chance he had here. Shame...

Had one good game at kettering.Maybe he wasnt in a good place after rejection by united. But as others have said,we simply cannot afford to carry people.I hope he picks himself up and does his obvious talent some justice in the future.goodbye and good luck.

Great shame that such a talent seems to be going to waste, but how many United loanees/ex Utd players have failed at this level?

Might be wrong, but I thought he wanted to play for us to get in the shop window.
Well, it might be he found BSC a LOT harder than he thought.
Good luck lad for the future.
Just remember, this is a tough game.

Well, in that case he's heading straight for Poundland.

What a waste.

Career in freefall alert.

Next stop: FCUM, followed by Vics and Ashton United.

A tragic waste of talent. If you combined Robbie Lawton's heart and desire with Sam Hewson's ability you'd probably have a Premier League footballer on your hands.

It's no good being in the shop window if the blinds are down. He's got bags of talent, and he must surely view this as a wake-up call.
