Senior's Letter
« on: May 18, 2010, 11:49:34 PM »

From our lovely informative main site:

Chris Senior has written the following Open Letter to Altrincham FC.
"I'd like to take this opportunity to thank every single person connected with Altrincham F.C for their fantastic support over the past three and a half seasons.

My decision to leave was not an easy one and the phone call to Graham to explain my decision was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. The club is managed fantastically and I support the board with their stance on how they run a football club.

The chance for me to return to full time football was too good an opportunity for me to turn down and I hope that my decision is understood and respected.

I made some great friends at Alty, not just players but supporters, and I plan to return to Moss Lane as many times as possible to watch. Hopefully when I return as a player you'll give me the awful reception I expect you to give to every opposing player next year!

Good luck for 2010/11, except for when we meet, and keep up the great support of the boys!

Chris"

Thanks chris. Hope you have a good season, but miss a load of sitters against us. Top bloke, shame he's gone. But i'm still looking forward to another season in the BSBP

What a guy. Cracking little player, and always good banter. Good luck Chrissy

Just sums up the guy to me, how many players have you ever seen leave a club and write a letter to them thanking them for the years?
Top bloke and all the best

Exactly what I'd expect from a thoroughly decent bloke. And I don't care if he DOES score against us (In the last minute of added time when we're three up of course).

Bloody hell, how many clubs can lose 2 players and in both cases both players and club/fans wish each other all the best?

Almost makes you fall in love with football again.

Until the world bloody cup, anyway.

Fair play for writing a letter. Not something that had to be done but something that means a lot now that he has. Makes a nice change to read something like that..

Always enjoy the praise we get on how the football club is run behind the scenes. Part time in title but very much full time in the way its run. Well done to all involved in making it like that.

All the best Chris, thanks for the goals.

Although I hope we have a rendition of "MIDGET DWARF" for him at Moss Lane next season!
