one of the problems for me as my first season as a supporter has been the standard of refereeing.
There has been some really good refs and some poor refs like the one tonight.
He did everything possible to stop the flow of the game.

on reflection tonight was a good result for us and i said to my friend
before the game, i'd be happy with a point, and thats what we got.

Just out of interest  mr. Grumpy.
how do you think Sean Densomore performed  in the number 7 shirt outside right?
i prefer him as a left back.

Do you mean right back, as that is where he normally plays?

the situation is now in our hands. Disaster & we finish 7th., higher than last year. The finishing order @ the moment based on Max. Pts., looks like 3RD FC HALIFAX TOWN 87 4TH BRACKLEY TOWN 85 5TH ALTRINCHAM 80 6TH HARROGATE TOWN 76 & 7TH BRADFORD PARK AVENUE 74. hOWEVER, LET'S SEE WHAT HAPPENS TONIGHT  HARROGATE TOWN v. FC HALIFAX TOWN , as  we move onto HINCKLEY UNITED

2-2 is a good result

Both sides probably could claim they deserved the win but to come from behind twice is remarkable.

It shows guts and drive. Their second was quite late, and to keep going and pressing gives me great hopes for the next few games and beyond.

Food was fabulous. Their managers celebration was bizzare though - full on run to jump 4ft in the air as if 2-1 would get his side promoted. Tolson stood there as if he knew we were gonna score pretty much straight from KO.

Bring on the last 3 - 9 from 9 should see us avoiding 7th ey george?  ;)

He played midfield a lot last season.....and generally better than tonight when I thought he was quite poor. Definitely a wing back !

About 120 I reckon.  Hard to say as some stood on the far side near the pavilion and some sat in the middle and some down to one end of the seats.

How often in the past would we have gone 2-1 up only to concede an equaliser at the death? It was good to see we are now the type of club that can get said equaliser.

Far from a classic in a footballing sense, but that was never going to be possible on that surface and with a ferocious wind howling across the totally unprotected pitch.

I thought we were well worthy of a point and possibly shaded it overall. They were far better after the break, but we kept on battling (them, the pitch, the referee and the elements). Four good goals particularly their second and Lawrie's strike (not so sure about his overall performance though). Thoroughly enjoyed my rare excursion.

Much thanks to JTH for his superb hosting skills and Ballers, Jamie, Ian and Ukranian Phil for a very enjoyable night.

Got back late last night and am now bleary of eye and rasping of throat.

p.s. The penalty situation is getting beyond a joke and I'm sure every player now has it niggling at the back of their minds as they step up.

If we need a bloke to go in goal while the players take dozens of practice pens surely we can find somebody local to do that.  It's bloody silly missing 9 pens in one season with six games still to be played and won.
