Still incredibly tight though. The bottom two look gone and Cambridge are in big trouble, but no team in the bottom half can feel safe.

Too close to call!!!!!

But if we carry on the way we've been playing then we should be ok.

It's all about confidence at this stage and getting some results together and feeling that you can get out of it.  Southport must feel it's all over after the winner they let in.  Cambridge will struggle to get back to winning ways after 2 5-0 defeats.  look what tamworth have achieved recently.

Not as important as joe's today.  Drop us down 2 points and Grays up 1 and we end up back in the bottom 4 if games in hand go against us.  In fact if Grays win their two in hand (unlikely) and other win their one game in hand we are 21st on goal difference :(.

I reckon our recent form counts for a lot though and if we can keep this decent run going through the next three or four we should be OK.

We've all talked about our poor away form this season (poor until recently anyway) but our home form against the bottom half of the table teams is remarkable. If we beat Stafford next week, we will have beaten every single one of the current bottom eight at home.
That consistency is the reason we have a good chance of staying up.

(And we've only conceded one goal in those seven games - we have a happy knack for producing clean sheets when needed the most)

Rather have the points than the games in hand. Given we're down the back end of the table what are the chances of all those teams picking up points from games in hand?

50 points will do it in my mind, cant see us not picking up another 6, what an incredible season!

It's 2 wins from these games I think, Stafford H, Tamworth A, S. Albans A, Aldershot H, Gravesend H
Perhaps a sneaky draw from Exeter H, Stevenage A, D&R A

That's just what I think (well the first part, anyway) and what I've said on another thread!

I think St Alabans and Southport are good as down.

Grays and northwich will pull out of it I'm sure.

We therefore ned to continue ahead of just two other teams.

One of those I think will be Cambridge who seem in deep with fewer games left to rescue themselves.

An average of a point a game will see us safe, but we may need less as long as we don't lose to Stafford who could be the other ones to drop...I see this as a not lose rather than must wion as a draw keeps us ahead.

Just wondering if FGr drop into the mix when the shenanigins will start...clubs in obvious danger will be Halifax and Crawley....hopefully we got international clearance for Joe so should be in the clear unless peake decides our hospitality sandwiches are less than the required 6cm depth.

I think that a couple of quick defeats might well see all kinds of things 'hit the fan' (no pun intended;)!)

I would put grays in that group too if peake is on the prowl, kemps undergarments were not the same colour as his kit and to make matters worse he had no sleaves!!! tut tut tut!!!!
