Thoughts ?
Be nice to get an away win and take the confidence into the game v Northwich although I'm torn between what I want.
I love the FA Trophy and think it is a GREAT competition but to go out to a team thats below us and are already games behind would not be a great loss in my opinion.
Of course I want to win but would rather we beat Woking on Satdee.

It is difficult because really, we just don't want Alty to lose any game, but totally agree with the above.
-
We cant afford injuries, lose on purpose and go out of the cup. That way we can concentrate on the league.
Now if we lose I wont be dissapointed. If we win I can call it cash bonus.
I used to be indecisive you know!

i'm happy either way! win and i get to go to a game on saturday, lose and i'm off on a road trip don't know where but i'm going to point my car in a direction and see where i end up whoop whoop!

I think the Trophy is too big a competition to disregard. Others do, and this gives us a good chance!

With 8 Conference teams already out,I think it is likely the Trophy will be won by a mid/low Conference side.I hope we can be that side.Tomorrow is winnable as shown in the 1st replay in that we can score 2 goals at their place. After that,Welling is another winnable game just for it being a home game.
I think GH will pick as strong a side as possible,my feeling is
Coburn,Asa,Peyton,Band,Munroe,Owen,Lawton,Chalmers,O'Niell,Thornley,Little (4-3-3)
Bench: Thomson,McFadden,Scott,Rose,Talbot

For those who care the weather will be wet so bring a coat or something...
Also, do us a favour and let Tamworth win, we could do with some form of silverware ;D

no deal 2-0 Alty - o'niel and Aspinal (pen)

I say play the strongest side and go for a win. A lot has been said about ways to get more people into the stadium. The best way is to have some success. A cup win would be brilliant.
-
Plus the cash bonus for the win, £4k isn't it this round or am I mistaken?
-
Not only that, with a home draw to come, we could clear about £10K in prize money alone - not to be sniffed at.
It's only in the later stages when matches need to be postponed and we start accumulating a fixture backlog that we've got problems - if we get beaten tonight, we've got a blank Saturday anyway!
PS: It seems like a hell of a long time since we had a fixture backlog due to cup success doesn't it!!!! :D :D :D :D

Plus, if we don't win tonight, we won't have another home game until the end of the month (27th I think), so we could do with this Saturday's game to keep us ticking over money-wise until then :)
