Title: Info
Post by: UkrainianPhil on August 16, 2007, 01:00:05 PM
Me and a mate are flying down to Exeter from Manchester Airport for Monday's live game on Setanta and are coming back the next day, arriving back at Man Airport at 5.05pm.

I notice from the fixture list that your neighbours Trafford are at home on that night v Bacup Borough (who?!).

If we wanted to go to the game on our way back to York, what's the best way of getting there from the airport and how long do you reckon it would take?

How are you getting from Leeds York to Manchester Airport Phil? Driving?

Having spent last night with the Shakthar Donetsk fans in Salzburg (one of my mates at work follows them), I reckon you're better off staying in the Ukraine - never seen so many hot birds at a match!!

On the footballing side, they were unlucky and I think they should beat Salzburg by two or three goals in Donetsk and go through.

Right, well off the top of my head from the days when I played for Trafford but couldn't drive, your best bet would be getting a train from Oxford Rd in Manchester to Chassen Rd which is right by the beautiful Shawe View. I think trains run from the airport to Oxford Rd. Otherwise it's a bit of a cab fare. Altho if you're driving it's a piece of piss.

Hughesy probably knows more, in fact, he likes a good night out looking at Melanie Woodford watching Trafford occasionally as much as you. Maybe he'll go.

Come to think of it, I played for Bacup as well  ::) keep an eye out for their manager Brent Peters, short bloke, nice fella but absolutely barmy.  :D

Looking at him now, it's hard to believe that Ballers ever had any form of fitness problems!!

Right, that's it. i've had enough. The drive to being reborn as a mediocre Unibond/North West Counties journeyman starts here. I'm going for a run.*

*This fitness drive is entirely uncconnected to the possibility of bumping into Abbey Clancy at a home game this season.

Ballers - if you'd have made your comeback a month earlier you might have made it into the England squad for Wednesday night !!
