Alty 2/5
Draw 10/3
Mickleover 5/1
Got to get back to winning ways on Tuesday weather permitting. We’ve had a bit of a wobble, straight back at it boys, long way to go yet
-
Deasy
Densmore Harrison Hannigan White ( needs to step up )
Richman
JJ Harrop Hancock
Poole
Hulme
Recall Miller back.
Hopefully we get to see the new lad.
Hampson huge loss.
Need Poole and JJ firing on all cylinders.

These are a massive, direct team and a Barnes-Homer & Briscoe partnership worries me immensely. Richman has never been an anchor and against these he would have a nightmare on his own. We need Moult in the side.
-
I'd like to have Richman and Moult in at midfield with Harrop in at number 10. For me, Poole hasn't quite offered enough in the previous games and it's contributed to our underwhelming offensive play.

I'd go with that team too. Maybe there'll be an addition or two to the squad shortly.

Definitely worth a try as we need to get out of this current malaise.

I'd stick with thommo in goal
dens tom ben white

I'd keep TT in as well - yes he had a 'mare on Saturday but the weather and the uncertainty in front of him was a factor. Don't see Deasy as an improvement.
Connor Hampson has been brilliant this season but in recent games opposing teams have played a little on his enthusiasm for supporting the attack - several times on Saturday he was left chasing back following a long ball out of their defence. White doesn't get forward as much so may help with stabilising the defence and helping them regain confidence. Would have Hampson in if he was fit though.
Poole always has the goal threat in him. He is always tightly marked (and kicked!) but I'd keep him in personally as he is a player capable of coming up with something special. Perhaps the player most affected by the heavier pitches.
Need to get Jordan Hulme back amongst the goals - his purple patch earlier in the season coincided with our best run and when we opened up the points gap.
Can't be there tomorrow but good luck to the lads.

I reckon it's time for a slight change in tactics and suggest this line-up.
Thompson
Densmore Harrison Hannigan White
Richman Moult Harrop
Hancock
Hulme Poole
This will hopefully tighten us up a bit in midfield and stop James from being man-marked so much. He should have been pushed up front last Tuesday when their No 6 was following him everywhere. JJ not doing enough for a starting place at the moment.
-
Anything other than a 4-2-3-1 formation is pure fantasy, we won't change from that. We haven't all season.
-
You're probably right but we can live in hope that Parky realises that teams are sussing us out.
-
come on boys 3 in a row is a slump
-
Don't need to press the panic button just yet, so I can't see many changes. White for Hampson is forced, after that probably Hancock for Peers.
Alty 1-0 Mickleover. Hancock.

Missed the last two games but hope to be there tomorrow
Let's get back to winning ways.
Snows finally gone in Shrewsbury. Hope the pitch is ok in WA15
3-1 Alty att 541
Cmon Alty
-
I hope Hancock is fit enough to start - in place of Peers. I do feel that a place has to be found for Richman - what did Cantona call Didier Deschamps many years ago? A water-carrier? Well, our creative players need someone to put in a shift for them, to get the ball in order for them to do their thing. Who he would come in for is a difficult question, granted - but come in he should. Defensively White at left-back should work out better than at right-back, mainly because he's essentially left-footed. Incidentally, anyone who doesn't get on the field tomorrow ought to be selected for Wednesday, to assist match fitness - starting with Deasy.
-
Jesus Christ get Harrop on for Moult.
Merrie is described as a lad with plenty of running and has a left foot so get White off this pitch and give him a go there until Hampson is back.
-
Why did we sign this lad from wigan...was it for the csc?
-
Really hope I'm wrong, but I suspect Warrington can scent blood here.
-
Really hope I'm wrong, but I suspect Warrington can scent blood here.
I suspect they can taste it at this stage.
Only thing.....it is still in our own hands....just.
-
Really need to keep our cool, it’ll come. We should have walloped them C**ts tonight.
Last team we probably wanted to play was a bunch of wily old stagers enjoying one last hurrah. Hopefully the one who spat in the stewards face has his career ended soon. It’s gone tonight, hoepfully a change of surroundings will do us good on Saturday.
-
Really missed Kenny even more than we thought we would, with no one to remind him to get his subs on PP completely forgot he had any!
-
TIME To earn your money Phil. And that might include using subs or dropping the golden captain
-
I think playing away from Moss Lane on Saturday will help. Seem to be in a rut at home. Odd that we made no subs at all in a game we were chasing. Still in our own hands but the next 6 weeks are where we see what Parky and these lads are made of.
-
Really hope I'm wrong, but I suspect Warrington can scent blood here.
Don't worry about Warrington
Remember they had a trophy run
Hey Uncle G ???

Yes, they did. How very observant of you, but they didn't win it either.
Surely, you are not worried by Warrington either....you trust in PP remember Jamie.
-
Warrington can smell blood. I wish we had McDonald.
-
Don't think Thompson made a save. I know we could and should have scored a mit full but fair play to them for defending like their lives depended on it.
Very strange that Harrop was benched and we made no subs.
Thought White was ok until they scored, then had a shocking 15 minutes, then did ok 2nd half. Richman thoroughly deserved mom.
Something needs to change up top, either play Poole or Heathcote next to Hulme or recall Miller.
Glad we're away Saturday it might just help break this run.
-
Yep. A few weeks ago I thought we'd be nicking Mcdonald and Williams from them when we went up.
-
I'm not looking forward to playing Shaw Lane in the playoff final.
-
Some of the comments are a bit over the top. It was like the Alamo for most of the game. Poole does distribute the ball and wins it back if he loses it. Laurie did neither. The yellow card count tells a story tonight but I really would like Hulme to start sticking them away again. I don't think he had a clear cut chance tonight but the drought is worrying.
-
It’s mad how games play out when you’re on alternate runs of form. If we had those same chances two months ago we’d have won 6-1.
I’m very worried though. We can see it crumbling before our eyes and I just pray we can come up with a big, confidence rehabilitating result on Saturday to get us fully back on track. At least a draw stops the rot in theory.
Step it up lads.
-
Just seen the goals back. How on f**king earth is that not a foul on Hannigan. I missed that as it’s out of view where we stand. Just presumed it was a wayward pass.
-
Just back. A draw against a bunch of fkn thugs. Refereed by a fkn clown ably assisted by a fkn tosspot of a lino on the popular side.
A bobbly pitch especially on the popular side contributed to lots of what seemed poor passes.
We should have buried them by halftime.
Why the f**k we never saw Harrop is a mystery. I hope it wasn't down to tomorrow's game...
That left back needs to be sent back to Scouseport he isn't up to standard
We need to have a plan B or this is going to turn into a nightmare.
-

The players stopped, expecting a free kick which was never given, instead of playing to the fkn whistle
Very frustrated tonight
-
The season has now got a play off loss at home to Witton written all over it , hope I'm proved wrong
-
Pretty much followed the same pattern of the previous 2 home games, decent start, failing to convert a few half chances then conceding a sloppy goal. The positives as Cooker says is that we battled well for a point, stopped the rot and with a decent bounce of the ball would've won. We need to get our noses in front in a game and hopefully the confidence will come back - it's clear that's taken a big knock.
-
Same lazy arsed back pass putting tom under pressure.
We are here to win this sh*t league..why not press forward at every opportunity...this complacent passing it around the back has cost us 5 points in the last 2 games...
Apart from that credit for never giving up and snatching what could be a valuable point...but not being able to beat mickleover sports at home..a new low for rowley fc
-
My first home game since Stafford. I'm still totally against Rowley and think he's a total arse but I've decided life's too short to sit at home getting whatsapp updates. I thought we played OK tbh against a big tough side who were playing like they were in a Cup Final and threw their bodies on the line all game. We just needed one of those early chances to go in and we've had hit 5 or 6 but confidence is obviously low, let's hope that changes pretty quick! I thought no subs was very bizarre especially as legs tired in the last 15 mins and I agree with several others on here that White looks well out of sorts, there must be a decent player in there somewhere because you don't get League player of the year two years running then just turn wank overnight!

Glad you have come back. Support is needed.
Yeah there must be a player in White. I suppose I am more annoyed with his lack of effort. Doesn't really want the ball, only overlapped second half. He just doesn't seem to be up for the fight.
Everyone knew Hampson would be a miss as he is very good.
I wonder if Lewis Short is starting games. Would be good to have him on a months loan.
-
I believe releasing Lewis Short was a mistake.

I believe Short asked to leave to play regular football.
-
We need somebody who can cross a ball from a set piece. All those corners we had last night were wasted mainly due to poorly taken free kicks. It a basic ability of being a footballer ffs

In complete agreement. Hancock should take corners.

Bloody hell, is Hancock paying you? You're slagging James Poole off at every opportunity and yet appear to have Hancock on a par with Messi. Most people I see at the games have Hancock down as being mostly anonymous and I would say he has gone off the boil more than most.

It's as if James Lawrie never left.

Sadly have to agree with this on Josh Hancock, although he looked more like himself 2nd half on Tuesday. Would still like to see Poole alongside / closer to Hulme with maybe Harrop instead of Hancock?
-
Just seen the highlights - how did they not get two straight reds in the lat 2 minutes of the highlights, no 5 on Moult was clearly jumping in with both feet, nevermind the timewasting from the keeper
