Away following tomorrow night
« on: February 02, 2009, 01:12:32 PM »

According to a couple of posts on the below thread there could be under 200 Vics fans in attendance tomorrow night. If this is the case, that club is even more on it's arse than I ever previously thought!

Seems a long time since (and a bit of a change from) when the 20/20 end was awash with hundreds of first expectant and then ultimately gloomy slimers as our third goal went in in our first year back  ;)

I'm sure they'll bring more than 200 as this will be their last chance to play at ML for donkeys years - unless we meet in the Cheshire Senior Cup

What about their re-arranged home games?

That's not quite what any of the posts say.

If it's on I should think there'll be closer to 300. I guess that's a big if at the moment though.

I know it's pretty selfish and it will lose you some revenue but I could do with it being off. There's no way I'll be making it from a very snowy Cambridge tomorrow night.

But you're right, the club is on it's arse, irrespective of predictions for the following tomorrow.

I would have thought about 300.

That would help the atmosphere.

I hope we don't live to regret those words being 15th in the league :o

Perhaps I sould have been more explicit ...

Even if we get relegated this season to the CH (which we won't) V*cs will be starting next season in the NWCL as a supporters club IMO a la Runcorn.

Wouldn't take the comments of a college idiot and a bloke sat in the Cambridgeshire sticks as conclusive evidence of tomorrow's away following.

LCV - on its arse or last legs, either way the next trip to Moss Lane might be some time away.

Fair enough, you would know better than I. I'm sure you will bring more than that when the game is eventually played (be it tomorrow or otherwise).

What was the attendance for the Histon game we let them play at ML? Surely they'll bring as many as they did that day, it's the derby!

About 430 I think.

I was also thinking that their free travel offer might swell the numbers slightly.
