The Cheshire FA confirms that the Senior Cup "final will be played in March possibly at Witton Albion on a date to be decided", between Altrincham and Nantwich Town.

Marvelous clarity from the Cheshire FA there.

I assume they mean 2009.....
They seem to have the two finalists accurately pinned down anyway, which is a huge step forward.
I'm keeping the entire month of March free in my diary.

Whenever it is, it will take precedence over a league game scheduled for the same day!

We can only hope the haziness of the announcement was due to the Cheshire FA trying arranging a date which suited both clubs ... although I don't really think so.

Probably the Cheshire Top Brass (who obviously[!] need to attend) have still to consult their Golf and Bridge commitments?
