Saturday's opponents......

...........Worcester City replicated their score at Moss Lane by going down 4-1 at Droylsden this evening. I can't make it on Saturday, but it does look a winnable fixture.

I used to think like that but now I just think 'oh no ... let's not get cocky and tempt fate'

Full marks to you Phil. You're even older than me and you've still managed to keep the faith! Have a G for that!  ;)

I get the impression that like us they are a different team at home...

...and we, unforunately, seem to be a different team away ! Still have a sneaking fancy for us on Saturday though.

Worcester City are a different proposition at home, than they are  away.

I don't know if anyone's mentioned it, but I believe that Worcester have a superior home record than they do away.

So marked is the difference that playing Worcester at home rather than playing them away could be likened to playing a completely different team.

Can you imagine what would happen if Alty played Worcester at a neutral venue? I for one cannot.

Or maybe when Worcester play at a neutral venue, they have a third entirely different character and bear no resemblance to either Worcester at home or Worcester away? The original Jekyll and Hyde and Seek team, if you will.

it would probably be either a high scoring affair or a low scoring affair or even possibly something in between

Now he's had a word in the papers, the players might respond. He's deflected criticism away from them so far.But by all accounts they were read the riot act on Tuesday after that defensive horror show.Maybe now they've come in for some flack from the gaffer they may do the business on Saturday. I couldn't care less where it's played, we took them to bits at moss lane a matter of weeks ago, and fully expect the same on Saturday. droylsden simply over ran them in the first half on Tuesday night, we are capable of employing similar tactics with our attacking options, Worcester 0-3 Altrincham

We're so dodgy away that I'd have to say I'd be happy with a draw.
