From official site:
"The UniBond League says that "Cammell Laird announced they have appointed Ken McKenna as manager for next season to replace Ian Doran who will join the Board after spearheading Lairds rise up the pyramid with four promotions in five years as the club moved from the West Cheshire League to the UniBond League Premier Division in that time. "

This is terrible news!! But i suppose when you've got an unsackable manager.....
-
I was informed by someone at the club, some months ago that he would not bre joining us!!
They were correct.

They were correct.
It stands to reason that they would have said that anyway as the clique want Heathcote in charge forever. I hope they are very happy because people will undoubtedly vote with their feet.

I think this news coupled with the fact we're going to entertain FSCUM again at Moss Lane has ruined most Alty fans weekends!!
-
bollocks to it >:(
-
Mistake.
-
Mistake.
Seldom have so few words said so much.
-
Was going to go with "F*ckin Mistake" but glad I just went with 'mistake' now ...

If that's the limit of his ambitions then maybe he' not the man for the job anyway.
-
coz our ambition is so aimed so much higher.

Or maybe they offered him a job so he accepted ?
-
We don’t know what his contract says.
It might say, if a bigger club comes in for him, he could leave!

Cammell Laird seem very ambitious to me
-
Maybe he was holding out for the job here, but realised it wasnt going to be offered to him in the near future, despite being the man who should replace graham when he eventually moves on.

There's always next year.............when Kenny has built his portfolio a bit more and be even more expensive.

he has had ten years at tns, enough of a portfolio we can look forward to another season of crap tactics

another season of crap tactics
We had tactics?
-
I think we did, it didn't work sometimes but on occasions it did even if it wasn't pretty. Torquay away (and at home ) Crawley away, pity about at home, Cambridge away, very unlucky defeat against a good side, Weymouth even. Plenty more.
Give GH another 100K as seems de rigeur in this league we would be just fine. Stop the others from cheating and have the wage cap properly policed we'd be fine also.
-
Okay so we had some defensive tactics, but when we needed to score could we do anything than put Talbot/Shotton/any other big centre back up front?
No.

Just three away wins in 23 matches:
Crawley: didn't they miss a first half penalty?
Northwich: we just about scraped home against nine men;
Droylsden: the team who finished bottom of the league, having conceded 103 goals.
An impressive endorsement of our tactics.

We were poor I agree Cult but if that wage cap were to be properly policed this league would be very different. I think we can and would compete fairly.
