Lowestoft can be as disappointed as they want but there really is no other clear candidate to move North - had the system used previously been employed they would have been put in the North in the first place. It's unfortunate for them, but inevitable, I fear.

Yes, that's the system they've used up to now but they did vary it this year - Lowestoft is marginally north of Birmingham so a long way north of the likes of Brackley, Oxford, Gloucester or Worcester for example. Once they had to change the allocations, moving Lowestoft was inevitable.
