When you are Bangor City or Cefn Druids, who both did this last night against European opponents

http://www.walesonline.co.uk/footballnation/football-news/2012/07/06/cefn-druids-0-0-mypa-47-welsh-side-claim-magnificent-european-draw-91466-31337787/

HOWEVER...previous Welsh clubs who have done this have been severely battered on the away legs!

Both bangors and Druids results were outstanding, MYPA are a Finnish top flight outfit and are mid season fit, and zumbru are a top flight Moldovan side and European regulars, they've been one win away from the champions league group stages on numerous occasions. Any score draw will do for either.Just a shame uefa have daft rules meaning all seater for every game, restricting Bangor to a 1,500 capacity at their new ground which actually holds over 4,000.And being their first euro game for 14 years actually in the city due to the state of farrar road forcing them to play at wrexham or rhyl in their euro home games they could have sold well over 4,000 tickets.Silly ruling for the early rounds.

Best result of all the sides from the British Isles was a 1-0 win for Cliftonville over Swedish side Kalmar. That is a truly astonishing result.

This is even more amazing since the druids aren't even a premier league team! They play in the cyrmu alliance!

When did the nationality of the players have anything to do with it?
Or where they play!..doesn't Chester play in Wales.
At least its not as bad as this...

Nope, Chester play in England.  There is a tiny segment of the offices that is in Wales.  The pitch is in England.

According to Google maps (but, then again, what do they know?), it is the tiny segment of the offices that is in England with the whole of the pitch and the terracing in Wales.

Wikipedia agrees with Google maps..

"Located some way from the city centre in the Sealand Road Industrial Estate, the stadium is notable for straddling the England-Wales border.[9] The pitch itself is in Wales (Flintshire), with the front gates and main office in England.[1] "   ;)

As I understand it they had to make sure the offices were physically in England in order to be members of the English FA (and no doubt also the sainted Cheshire FA)!

Aber-Alty, please give the welsh thing a rest. I get welsh news here (north shropshire) and I'm sure its compulsary to mention Wales, Welsh, Owain Glyndwyr in every sentence-we know Ryan Giggs is welsh FFS  :P

No he isn't. His father was Welsh. Giggs was born in Swinton.

Giggs was born in Cardiff, moving to Swinton at the age of six.
