Spent a good 10 minutes trying to think of the best way to phrase "Dennis Irwin is at Moss Lane" to make it sound as if he was playing so I could phone my United supporting brother.  ;)

Definitely a good move in my book, but out of interest, what was their reasoning for the ban?

It was just part of the announcement for their latest game, a reminder that musical instruments aren't allowed in according to club policy. I'd suspect it was there for a long time, they're just deciding to enforce it now their patience has worn thin for drums.

I know Josh Mitten applied for the Trafford job a while ago, but didn't get it, not sure if he kept  on aiming at non-league management or not.

The odds on Ladbrokes aren't very flattering for most current English managers. Beckham and Wenger are apparently more likely than Allarydayce. Warnock's odds are identical to Glenn Hoddle's!

northwich being a nice place to live

Who on earth thought that? ;)

That it would help the England football team if their were fewer foreigners in the premier league.

That Stoke are a dirty team (far fewer cards than Arsenal).

Getting far fewer cards than Arsenal does not preclude you from being a dirty team!

It's a game of two halves - no it isn't it's a game of two parts, the second part is invariably slightly longer than the first part

Granted, but I do take exception to the media portrayal of the premier league being 19 teams of diving foreigners and one group of bouncers gathered from a pub in the rough part of town.

Hi haven't been to Hale in 30 yrs. Had my first drink in the 'Bleeders', the Bleeding Wolf and was caught by the cops for being 17yrs old. What happened to it/what is there now. Also the Station was great in Hale. Any news on what is there now or were they demolished? Cheers! An oldtimer with happy memories.

Small road there now called Wolf Grange. Just houses on it.

In fairness Paul Simpson's last job was Stockport County, the financial stability of a club clearly isn't what he thinks about when accepting jobs.

Well I'm disappointed in all honesty, really rated Sinnott.

Oh sorry, I thought this was the Alty forum.

Couldn't listen so no real idea of how it went down, but a win's a win and I'll take it. :)

Sadly i cannot get JLs new text commentary, and the radio one is doing loads of buffering, but at least we are 1 up.

Broke earlier on me, a refresh fixed it all.

Sounds like they're all over us second half, but I'll take that goal :D

Why can't people read properly?

It's Yorkshire don't forget, once they've managed to start speaking properly then they might advance to reading.  ;)
