Altrincham FC First Team / History Makers - Part 1 (Bromley Away)

So here we are… following a sleepless night full of excited nerves, the day has arrived!

No matter what happens today I don’t think I’ve ever been so proud of our mighty team!

I hope we sing our hearts out from warm up to finish, get behind the boys and get them over that line! We are the 12th man and for this historic day, we are the difference.

We are top of the form table, have some of the best players in the league and a management team that know how to navigate the win.

1 match away from Wembley…. Let’s do this!

P.S… Coach 4 rules!

The morning after the night before… still feel like I’m in dreamland and had a blast yesterday at Ebbsfleet! Been one of the best seasons in my living memory. So proud of my little club. Yesterday was just so perfect. As others have said I think Ethan is probably the best goalkeeper we have ever had (bold statement I know), he was immense yesterday! Baines pulled off a worldly save of his own at a very important time too. How many games has he won us just like Ethan with his blocks. Not sure how many games we have had him as captain but seems to be on a good streak. Cooper another revelation this season, has come on leaps and bounds from last year and is playing in the form of his life. Good to see CCC tracking more and doing a lot more off the ball to support the team, he really could become the real deal. I could just go on naming and praising here, but whatever happens from now until the end of the season, thank you to the team, thank you to the management and execs and everyone associated with the club. Finally hope JD is ok and it’s nothing too serious.

Give it to the lad between the sticks! At least he will still be here next season. Lundstrum took most of the awards last year and took off… waste!!

Great display from the boys today! Special mentions to Ethan and Baines for winning us that match! Some great saves and one of the best clearances/blocks by a defender that I’ve seen… as good as a goal! Dorking will be a dog fight but feel it will be another match like Kiddy with a big win and bringing home the rewards in the end.

Finally, a visit to aggravation stadium and we come home with the 3 points. Been about 30 years which is just ridiculous. Agree with many it was a slow start, but let’s be fair the opposition were in a must win situation and it was like they were two nil down at kickoff. They had to go for it and it was easy to see them unravel as they threw everything at us in the first half and they began to tire. As Phil said, we were technically superior and that’s what saw us through. That and another heroic defensive wall with our back 5, who at times were under constant siege.

Wembley early bird ticket is starting to look appealing!  ;D

Looks like we are going to have a go. Thought they might have switched things up and played 3 at the back. Good to see JD back and hopefully we benefit as he’s had some game time with Chorley.

Shows you how much he meant to the club in the end. Just added the statement at the bottom of a welcome message. Shame really. Good luck to him in the future

Baines gets a good view of whats happening and shouts orders. Osborne gets on with the execution.

The fans were there. Come the Oldham game the Prawn sandwich brigade will turn up.

Totally agree… Baines reads the game well and is always talking. Puts himself on the line with his determination and calmness when needed. Future full captain???

As for the crowds, are you forgetting where we were just a few years ago??? Short memories

Chris might get the headlines for the goal first half but has given it away about 20 times!
