I come on here every week and I don't recall any. I used to use Dawn's kiosk but gave up a couple of seasons ago. Funnily enough I don't miss it.

Footy scran is a twitter account - we've been covered numerous times on it.

e.g.
https://twitter.com/FootyScran/status/1476239929306984451

Prices up 30% compared to the post. Most comments from our pie and peas are the value.

Is trying to bring more money in really such a bad thing? What would make you buy from our snack bars that isn't there right now?

Trying to bring in money is a good thing, of course it is. I don't have a problem with the range. In my opinion the cost/quality balance isn't right. That photo on footy scran shows it all. An anaemic mass produced balti pie, some fried extruded mashed potato topped up with luminous green mushy peas.

Generally, I don't do fast food but if I haven't had my tea before the game I go to The Good Catch. The quality is street's ahead if you ignore the sausage.

Would it be possible to add bacon barms to our menus, or is this not possible cost wise or time wise?

Sorry Steve - very unlikely - a couple of us have a sausage barm at 10 ish on a Matchday whilst we’re setting up, and bacon barns are done for tournaments until 11am, but like McDonald’s- we change to lunch menu after 11. Stick to the burgers 🍔 😂

How about a nice bit if Scottish square sausage served in a burger bun?

Not a patch on a proper British banger!
lincs or square

Links of course.
The square is an abomination to sausages!

Lorne sausage is one of the best parts of a full Scottish breakfast, with tattie scones, and both black and white pudding. A portion of haggis doesn't go amiss. Who needs lunch?

And on the subject of OUR catering, Wright's pies are generally awful. No wonder we have to hawk them round the ground at a quid a pop.

I assume we are contracted to Wright's Pies as our supplier.

The other ones from Macc Town do sound very tempting though.

Can't we get a deal with Daniiiisssshhhhh for their Bacon?!

When I were a young lad the best pies in Altincham were the flat round meat & potato pies baked in foil trays from the bakery on the corner of Shaw's Road and Greenwood Street. The pies seemed massive like a dustbin lid ...but so did Wagon Wheels back in the day!

Does anyone else remember this place?  I was talking to my sister about it the other day and she thinks that the proprietor might have been Polish.  She was fond of their Vanilla Slices' I was devastated when they closed in the early 1970s and replaced it with a much needed Antique Shop.

Barmby & Ward on the corner of Market Street and Shaw's Road had good pork pies and the best sausage rolls.

I know that I am veering off topic with this and so I have posted a copy in the Non-Football Category under the heading 'Past memories of Altrincham & nearby places'

I tend to be very choosey where pies are concerned, however, I was at the Mac game last week and can confirm that their offering was excellent.  To that and, a quick search of quality producers resulted in The Great North Pie Co. who already have an association with Altrincham Market and are, I believe, already served at Stockport County.  Perhaps they'd make an appropriate addition to the fan zone.

I did eat more than my fair share! 😂
The meat and potato ones were great! 😉

Followed by a couple of curly wurlys!

Another fantastic pie producer is To Pie For, based in Warrington but are regularly at the monthly makers market in Sale. £5 a pop but certainly worth it.
