Well done for getting behind the team I am sure this helped them today . Just unfortunately one fan with wife or girlfriend escorted out of ground because of racists language. As for the team a great performance by all of them .
-
That's not unfortunate, that's totally unacceptable, if true.
-
It's true as I was one of the four altrincham stewards at the game . Was Sutton stewards who escorted him out. We asked them had they got his name unfortunately they did not get it .
-
Agreed,that's totally unacceptable.
-
Ment to put witton stewards not Sutton.
-
Why the hell have you started a thread about this? It wasn't an Alty fan, it was a bloke from Alty who was stood with his Mrs, didn't say anything all game, shouted that, was reported and removed. It was disgusting, I've never heard anything like it and I know I won't again. He was no alty fan. Everyone around it was in total shock.
-
excellent pity he got in the first place. Good for other potential racists to hear about this and know it won't be tolerated anywhere. Well done the stewards
-
Well, seeing as its been raised I would like to congratulate "The Alty Choir". When the idiot shouted his abuse there was stunned silence and then people turned and almost as one said "You can't say that" Good on'yer guys. Respect!

Shocked at bewildered.
I think this thread should be locked. I'm led to believe stewards and directors are looking for the culprit with a view to ban from all Altrincham games should he be associated.
A very much a one-off.
-
I put it on because as I said the alty fans were great today .but one idiot gets you all a bad name which is not fair the gentleman I believe had an alty shirt on .We are still trying to find his name so action can be taken.

The gentlemen in question did not have an Alty shirt on.

Sorry, what's the problem with it being raised and all of us collectively condemning it and letting the culprit know they aren't welcome at our club.
Shame on that idiot and I hope he never attends an Altrincham game again. Disgusting, abhorrent attitude that should be long forgotten.
-
We banned Dennis Birch for exactly such behaviour.
-
If he did not have alty shirt on then I appolagies. But that is what got reported to our head steward still needs to be found and banned.
-
No problem with it being raised and giving us the chance to condemn the remark as, at the game, lots of us did, after a second or two of shock and thinking did I actually hear that, at least there was in my case.
The person escorted from the ground was not wearing a club shirt, for what it's worth.
-
Well done to the steward who identified the person, had a quiet word and had him leave without a scene.

My problem with it is that the thread is called "Alty fans", it said the Alty fans were great apart from the racist one like it was normal everyday thing.
The point I was trying to make is that he was not an Alty fan, just someone from Alty and was trying to give some context to it in that he was stood quietly with his Mrs and then just blurted that out. And has been seconded he did not have an Alty shirt on.
Fair enough if people think it should be on so it can be condemned but it's a matter of course that it will be. As I said at the time, I've never heard anything so blatant and I doubt I will again. It was insane and beyond dreadful but it was not the actions of an Alty fan.
-
Don't know what's worse, the fact another victory is being overshadowed by more nonsense or the thought of hearing 'zigger zagger' and having flashbacks

I think the thread title celebrates the rest of the fans. Unfortunately this cretin is from Alty apparently. I think the response on the thread justifies it as a worthy topic. We can't ignore this crap, it needs to be out there that we don't accept it and it isn't what we're about.
COME ON ALTY!!!
Proudest day as an Alty fan for some time. What a bloody relief!

The man who shouted the abuse was not an alty fan for your info
