Just to confirm: http://www.thelambs.co.uk/news/newsDetail.asp?secID=1&newsID=516

Tuesday Jan 9

Tamworth v Altrincham has been called off this evening due to a water logged pitch. The game will now take place on Saturday 13 January 2007 kicking off at 3.00pm. The winners will play at home to Welling United on Tuesday 16th January with a 7.45pm kick off.

As a result of incessant rain, a pitch inspection has been arranged at The Lamb at 4pm ahead of tonight's scheduled 7.45 kick-off for the FA Trophy First Round replay against Altrincham, rearranged after the initial meeting on December 19 was abandoned due to fog.

A further announcement will be posted after the inspection.

On the assumption we do beat Tamworth - & with a good travelling support especially, there's no reason we shoudn't - Welling will be far less happy with a Tuesday evening trip to Moss Lane than a Saturday.

Sadly sir, we will start from scratch at 0-0.

However we are allowed kick off as we were winning.

update, hopefully it will be on but we've had even more rain since the postponement tuesday and the two rivers running through the town centre are close to bursting point. In all honesty though if it remains reasonably dry tomorrow it should be on, the outlook for saturday is dry i think.

Forecast is rain and more rain...if they can't play on Saturday is it then a penalty shoot-out or a toss of the coin?
