I'm glad they've gone up and won't be a potential hurdle for us to get over next season.

Spennymoor  could well be.. whoever is in our league we need to be better than all of them.

Does anybody know who is coming up/down into our league next year...

Best guess:
Coming into our division from feeder leagues (subject of course to the EGM Cup!) - Farsley Celtic, Kettering Town, King's Lynn Town
Transferring from South (probably, & again subject to EGM Cup) - Gloucester City, Oxford City
Remaining in this division - Alty, AFC Telford, Alfreton, Blyth, Boston, Brackley, Bradford PA, Chester, Curzon, Darlington, Guiseley, Hereford, Kidderminster, Leamington, Southport, Spennymoor, York.

This is basically good news all round. The 2nd strongest team (per the league table, but anyway by a comfortable margin) went through, albeit on pens in both play offs, and I am pretty confident if it wasn't for the Red Card, we would have won, so we are of a very similar standard. Nobody coming down from above and Gloucester and Oxford weren't really close to play offs. All that extra travel next season to rough as hell northern places won't help either team. And it was our first season back up, and the management team has signed for three years.

I don't want to sound bitter, as I wish them well, but I would have fancied our chances in the league above more than Chorley. Their aggressive physical style Mayfield lesser dividends against the more talented clubs. We were tired as hell when we played them, but still I much preferred the style of play of Alty (OK, I'm hugely biased) to theirs. But for us, maybe its a blessing in disguise not going up. Gives our relatively new management team time to build and develop the squad...next season I would say we have to be near favourites to go up. Will be interested to see the odds. And its worth a flutter on Chorley going straight back down, if we can place such bets

I would have liked to see Spennymoor win today.

With a couple of tweaks we will be there about next season

People of Alty , recharge your batteries ready for the start of next season...

I suppose I will just have to play more golf at the weekends until then....
