I think Lewis has got the ability and the passion for the game to make it in a higher league, and if he gets the suitable offer then good luck to him. I think he is a cracking player with great potential. For Graham to say that he should stay loyal to the club i think is abit unfair as the club haven't always been fair to Lewis, they should have got him on a contract straight away. Good luck Lewis wherever you end up!!!

Why weren't the club fair to Lewis?

A couple of seasons back the club made him the only player on a contract.  he showed little or nothing to say it should be renewed.

Its my understanding that the club then said you need to earn a new contract, and that he did last season.  It was then offered and he didn't sign.

My guess is if he doesn't have an agent, someone is badly advising him.

Great player now on his day but will develop even more at Alty if he stays.

Being at a full time club will help him improve more than satying part time at Alty. Just don't think it was fair of Graham to put pressure on saying that he hoped he would be loyal to the club.

Are you speaking as an Alty fan or a friend of Lewis?

If its as a friend of Lewis I can understand

If its as an Alty fan I'd like the manager to pressure any good player, especially ones of value, to stay at the club

I  agree with GH, he has had a a fair year, but room for improvement.

Lewis' football education will be best served at Alty under experienced men like GH, Dalton and also such as Little, Talbs, Bushell(if he stays). They can pass on lots of experience.

I really believe that football "agents" are not a good idea at this level, most of these people have self interest as their motivation, not that of the players. Young players need a paternal influence either at home or from senior players at the club.
