Coburn, Densmore, Williams, Smith, Doughty, Denham, Danylyk, Kearney, Clee, Senior, Johnson.
Subs : Saunders, Pearson, Heffernan, Thaker, Thornley
-
I was just going to ask about this. I can only presume from the dearth of activity on here at the moment we've got circa 400 fans down at Grays! :)
-
Thornley? Not sure if he'll play. He's got a weepy eye and has been curled up on my bed most of the last 48 hours....
Oh, you mean Rod?
-
Rod Thornley: more comebacks than Sinatra......
-
I'm not normally one to say anything about Jennifer's Mum (when she's in the vicinity) but I just asked her to look at the team:
"The men playing trumpets?" she asks
-
Marvellous...good old Rod!!
-
Nice to see Dale starting again, we really do miss his presence up top when he's out in my opinion.
-
It's been five hours and 38 minutes since Alty's last goal......so, let's hope the drought will end in Essex this afternoon.

Good start lads. At home with a can of 1664 (now in a glass). Off to see nice v Monaco tonight. Local derby. Would rather be at grays though!
I'm made up denhams doin the business this season!
-
Denham never had the chance to get real match fitness, I think he seems to be the sort of player who benefits from regular games.
-
Think he's a confidence player too. Was worried he might have just thought his luck was out at alty and gone in the summer. Delighted he's stayed
-
Super Chrissy Denham.
-
he also owes me a tenner so im very glad he didnt leave :)
-
Macc 3 down - thought I'd mention it
-

A bit of Emergency Ward 10 (which starred Paul Darrow from Blakes 7 & the chap that plays Alan Turner in Emmerdale) and Angels!
-
Do we know if these injuries look serious?
apparently they both limped/hobbled off, no other news yet

Not stretcher jobs for what little consolation that is

Seriously, we may not have 11 next game..... :(

Maybe a favour or 2 from an old friend at Wigan
-
Oxford 3 up, looking a class apart this season.
-
Its really going to take something to hang on to this now with losing 2 players and the reorganization. Lets see if we can get through the first 15 mins of the second half still at 1-0 and hang on from there....
-
must write to the bbc and thank them for the great use of my licence fee in tha coverage from grays today
-
Is it chicken and egg - having to play half-fit players because others are out injured who then themselves get duffed?
-
Christ, Thompson and Bowler might get the call!
Big 45mins for us now.
-

I think there's something in that. We've increased the quality of the squad though. Even without Crowell we should be a real decent outfit with Welch, Lawton and Little back.
-
and the chicken and egg

1 defeat in 5 ;)
I think if Robbie Williams posted on here he might point out that we've kept 3 clean sheets in a row. :)
Denham and Senior joint top scorers with 3 each.
We also bizarrely appear to be playing 3rd and 2nd in the league in our next 2 games (Tamworth really doing a good job!)

Ballers,
You beat me to posting that encouraging statistic.
A splendid effort considering the disruptions to the squad in recent weeks.
-
good old Mr Stelling.. red card at Ross County.. "Ready Keddie Go".. priceless
I really wish I could have another crack at "Countdown" now he's in the chair. I never thought Richard Whiteley could be replaced. Still, you need a top sense of humour if you support Hartlepool !
-
Just got back from the game.
Great result and three good goals especially the last one.
I thought Grays looks the better team for a lot of the match especially either side of half time but they had not cutting edge and the back four and Stu were solid.
Kearney looks a great addition in midfield.
But the real difference was up front. They had nothing and Denham and Senior were excellent.
On the downside two more injuries. Dale's didn't look good - could be knee ligaments. Clee did really well for the first goal and then limped off.
-
Lovely day out today, thank you Alty, always enjoy Grays away, nice people, pubs good, made even more special by the two Chris's today.

I sincerely hope Dales' injury is not long term!
-
Dale was injured in a collision, not normally a ligament type issue,. he limped for a while before being taken off so hopefully just a knock. I do hope so.
-
I hope so too but he couldn't put any weight on it at half time. He had to be helped from the dug-out to the changing rooms.
