Here's my opinion.

If we had found 2 wingers that could play every week (of course we had 1 and even he was a loanee), I think O'Keefe would have been OK in a midfield 3 with Richman and Moult.

I often wondered whether we should have given him a run at right back.
I find it difficult to believe, given the clubs he had played for, that he wasn't capable of more than we ever saw.

Like Griffin I'm sure okeefe wasn't a bad player 2 or 3 years back but in both cases the manager nievely brought in players who played next to no football the previous season

It's no coincidence nobody in that team played well - they were moved around every 5 mins because the manager didn't know his best team - which is fatal at any level.

As a person I quite liked Lee, a different more measured and calm approach the GH who as we all know was prone to getting stressed and kicking off a bit, he served us well getting us into the playoffs then promoted, then staying up, however the season after everything went wrong from recruitment to injuries to players not being honest about themselves. I just think that sometimes players who are non-league players make the best non-league managers as they know the game, the systems and the format. I know he did it before but we don't know how Farsley were run and financed behind the scenes. Living in Hull was not an advantage either.
Hopefully we now have an experienced non-league former player and now manager who understands the scene and has good contacts. I'm relatively optimistic.
