Currently marvellously on the official website. Would some of our luckier i.e. older supporters care to put names to faces for us please.

As far as I can see we start off Tony Sanders, John King, Stan Allan, Don't Recognise (DR), DR,, Jeff Johnson, John Davison?, DR, DR, DR, Mal Bailey, DR, John Rodgers.

If you could sign TWO of that side to play with us now, bearing in mind the Conference being what it is and the squad we already have, who would you pick and why.

I'm going for JD as a left back who can fill in at midfield, a bit like Asa in some respects  :), I don't care how good some of these modern day players think they are.

I'd also have Jeff Johnson as a midfielder/striker/winger/centre half/all round superhero.

Plus we get a tash and a perm which is always the sign of a good team.  :D

OK, here's the line-up on that photograph....

Tony Sanders
John King
Stan Allan
Peter Eales
John Owens
Jeff Johnson
John Davison
Graham Heathcote
Ian Morris
Ivan Crossley
Mal Bailey (with perm)
Joe Flaherty (slightly obscured)
John Rogers

How could anyone forget the legendary Joe Flaherty?
Came on as a substitute....and was booked within seconds!

Joe Flaherty was the only one I didn't pick.....shame on me.

What a day though for a 16 year old, first ever trip to Wembley, London even, drinking all the way on the coach.....good old days......and not only but pulled on the coach on the way home!! Went out with her for a good 2 years too. God bless you Sara! Where are you now? Christ knows how must've smelled awful, but the best bit was.......

Bumping into the Gazelle on the steps out and bouncing around singing "We won the cup, eeio addio we won the cup"

Some dodgy Cockney wanabees outside tried it but got scared off by some big  United lads.........perhaps the bit featured in that first ever hoolie book....sorry can't remember the title.

Memories......
