I'm not sure if it has been suggested, but how do people feel about renaming one of the stands/sides after the great man?

Lots of clubs have done it (The Colin Bell stand at City etc.) and I think it would be a fitting tribute to the number one Alty legend.

I guess you would have to rule out the main stand and family stand due to sponsorship deals, but the Popular Side and Golf Road end don't have sponsors and could be renames the Jackie Swindells side/stand.

Given that stands provide future sponsorship opportunities, perhaps it might be appropriate to rename the Noel White Suite in his honour?

Also, an award for our top goalscorer each season in Jackie's name would seem like a fitting tribute.

A memorial of some sort is a must, but I don't think we can afford to ose sponsorship oportunities.

The highest scorer award would be appropriate and I would like to see some permanent ground memorial.

Isn't one of the major prizes in one of the primary fundraising initiatives of the season to have the Gof Road End named after you for a year?

For me, the best way to do this would be to rename the bar after him and put up a plaque outside.

Once we've agreed on the best idea for a memorial we can set up a "fund" and make sure this happens. I am happy to help coordinate this once it receives the club's blessing.
