Here today, gone tomorrow investors are bad news for small clubs. We do not want one of those, many years of recovery have saved this club, we could have gone under thanks to such individuals.
Histon have a supporter who apparently buys about 300 season tickets a season. How long will he do that for? And Why?

I didn't ask the question , but no, of course I wouldn't turn down the money.
The annoying thing is that we probably won't get anyone to offer us any!!

Whilst i didnt like Histons style of football, good luck to them.

I just hope someone from cash rich cheshire just gives us a £100,000 or maybe a £1,000,000.

I certainly would not say no to it, althought cash does not guarantee promotion and would we be able to sustain promotion at present? I doubt it.

Why is investment bad im puzzled?- If somone comes to a club and says here is £40,000 that i do not  want back its for your future and do with it as you please  what exactly is the risk??

Its up to the club to manage that cash injection effectively.

The only risk is when you become depenadant on money ie- i will give you £20 k every month for a year- then they disapear and you have made your bed accordingly to that budget.

I think what you say is true so long as they do not change their mind about it being a "gift" as opposed to a "loan".

After what happened to us a few years ago I would say it's very much a case of once bitten, twice shy for some people which is totally understandable.

I think we'd be fools to turn down any form of investment without giving it some serious consideration first.

I agree 100%- you would gain in writing they do not want the money back under any circumstances

The cash would not be spent on a promotion bid at this club, I'm sure of that. It would probably go towards the long term sustainability of the club. The money itself is not a bad thing, it's what we do with it. Even though it is unlikely to come to us
