Graham Barrow leaves the club (official)
« on: July 08, 2009, 12:13:12 PM »

See main site.

I would like to thank him for everything he's done since becoming our assistant manager and wish him all the very best at Wigan.

He will be badly missed!

Goodbye and good luck (again) Graham - Thanks for everything (again)!

It's a real shame he couldm't have stayed but I guess it was too good a chance to miss.

Sad to see GB go. It appears that GH was expecting it.

By the way, I've retired my old forum ID (JackSwindells No 1 Fan) now that the great man has left us.

Doesn't mean he'll ever be forgotten though. RIP our best 10 ever. New ID was my Nickname back in early 80s when I refurbished the urinals at ML. The days before we had roofs etc.

You must have been the fella who cultivated such a magnificent crop of moss on the walls. Congratulations, and take a goodwin!

The Wigan Athletic perspective:

So, possible successors...

Ken McKenna?

Ged Kielty?

Mark Maddox?

Colin Little?

Ballers?

Ecky?

I hear that Mark Ward is looking to get back into football coaching.....

I'm really hoping the new assistant manager will be Ken McKenna but i have a bad feeling it's going to be sponge ged square pass.

Interestingly enough during his tenure at Trafford they were renown for the attacking style of play which they adopted

Good luck to Graham. A fantastic servant to the club, both as player and assistant manager.

Graham Barrow has given GH great support during his spell here and has only improved his (already high) reputation in the eyes of Alty fans.

The good news is - based on past experience - if we draw Wigan in the Cup, we will beat them (for a GB Chester, Wigan , Wigan hat trick!!)

All the best to Graham and good luck at Wigan.

Kenny McKena would be a great replacement.
