From main site:
Chris Denham (right) missed Sunday's game due to a workplace accident which resulted in him having to have two stitches inserted in his eye during a two-day stay in hospital. He will be out of action for at least a month and, given the nature of the injury, the date of his return is difficult to predict.

Ouch.
-
That's a blow for us and sounds like it could be quite a lenghty lay off.
-
I got told he was a taxi driver, so wonder what happened there...
-
An excuse not to play him for a month or so until the transfer window in January?

Yeah i reckon thats about right.
"Hi Chris can you put 2 stitches in your eye so i dont have to play you for a month or so"
"Yeah, ok, sounds like a plan"

I believe he is a tiler & the splinters came from a tile being cut.I understand that whilst the injury is quite serious,it could have been much much worse as the splinters damaged the eye very close to his retina & he could easily have lost his sight in that eye.
-
Sounds bad!
Get well soon Chris.
-
Was there talk of him being a taxi driver as well?
Despite my comments above, stitches actually IN the eye could be serious indeed.
-
Best wishes for a full & speedy recovery Chris.

Hard luck Chrissy D. Your eyesight is even more important than football, so take care.
