Title: Promotion / Relegation (between North / South)
Post by: MarpleAlty on March 07, 2021, 09:26:06 AM
Noticed the Guardian article suggesting North/South might start again with those that were outvoted.

Given there's going to be a lot of sorting out to do with teams potentially exiting this league (and being one short to begin with), they must be considering it as an option currently to refill the gaps?

better for us in the long run that our league has as many teams as possible in it, i hope it runs

Staying up is our objective for this season. Almost  ✔ off.

Great work by our club. The leagues will work themselves out one way or another, the board have done a great job so far navigating through all this, massive thanks to them.

How many clubs will come out of the pandemic in better shape than at the start? Arguably we will with our new board members, stadium plans, renovated lounge and bar area. Brilliant!

Agreed - we definitely went up at a good time.

Coming back to the original point, I suspect they'd find it less of a fuss to get rid of Dover, find somewhere else for them in the structure, and run with 22 next year.

Might not necessarily be a bad thing if that means they run with less relegation places the folowing year, just in case we get a bad bout of Second Season Syndrome.

We definitely went up at the right time. Could you imagine NOT winning the play offs last season and finding your club finishing in February with no streams on March, April and May. It’s what’s made the current crazy situation more than bearable for me.

While I like the idea of 22 teams in the league, relegating 4 is rather brutal
