Taken from the main web site reporting on last night's meeting
The relationship with Manchester United was discussed, as their Reserves play at Moss Lane. Thanks to United, the pitch will be "earthquaked"; the undersoil will be shattered to aid drainage.
What's all this earthquaking ? ??? I think we need to know ?
It'll be Tsunamis on the Bollin and looting in George Street next ?
Do we need to stock up on bottled water and bog rolls beforehand ?
-
Do we get Charlton Heston and George Kennedy on the groundstaff?
-
I think (though this will probably be wrong) it may have something to do with shaking up the ground in order to break up the soil below. This should make it easier for the surface water to infiltrate the ground, leading to little or no standing water on the surface itself.
-
I want to be there when it happens.
I haven't felt the earth move for years.
-
I wonder what it will measure on the Richter Scale?
;)
-
The last rumble I had at Moss Lane was down to a Wright's pie that may have been past its sell-by date (rather like me I suppose).

Correct this is what we were told last night.

Is that the technical name for a guy in wellies with a long pronged fork or something you can buy from Ann Summers ? :o ?....
Careful where you go with the next response ::)
-
Its from Anne Summers and you can use it in the bath as it doesn't sink!
-
But won't you get an electric shock from the batteries ?
-
Nah! You can get them to use under water now....
Apparently!
