So where else do we need extra signings? I'm at a loss, unless it is to strengthen the squad.

I do believe his words were exactly that - to strengthen the squad.

Why else would you sign a player?  ???

Pedant!

You know what I mean - are we looking for more first teamers or backup players?

Both Farsley and Vics have in excess of 30 players in their squads. We are still some way from that mark, but GH may be thinking the more players we have for the run in, the better.

Case of getting the right players at the right price.

Difficult.

If possible, I'd still like to see our options in attack strengthened.

We have Little, Senior and Cahill (I have yet to see the latter, admittedly)......but O'Neill and McFadden are just not up to the required standard, in my view.

Ill be prepared to be peaked for this but i quite like o'neill, works his socks of when he gets chance.
Little is top but hasnt really perfromed over recent months, why not give o'neill and senior a try together when cahill goes back?

At the risk of opening up old wounds from previous O'Neill debates on this Forum (!), I've never questioned his commitment but simply don't believe that he is capable of scoring goals on a regular basis at this level of football.

Unless, of course, we played Vics away every week.....

It is an old debate but its a fact that we are at such a good standard now that simply "trying dead hard" is not good enough.

Hopefully we will have the option to extend Cahills loan to the end of the sesason. Ive been quite impressed with him so far.
