« on: December 10, 2009, 12:20:22 AM »

(i) Name the FIVE individuals on this photograph who went on to play for Altrincham;

(ii) Name the individual on this photograph who later became an Assistant Manager at Moss Lane.

Oh, and just marvel at those truly glorious flared trousers....!

Hmmm...It's a bit hard to see the faces on the photo, but Barry Whitbread is there, as is Barry Howard, in his casual attire.

Phil Wilson, Mal Bailey.

We have a security bloke who works where I do  and he tells me he used to play for Alty years ago

I think his name is Ray Bailey and he used to play on the wing..

Right, Messrs. Barry Howard; Barry Whitbread; Mal Bailey and Phil Wilson have all been correctly identified.

So, that still leaves one other individual to be unmasked.

Not to mention the second part of the question.....

Sorry, joe, but John Connaughton was a Port Vale player when this particular photograph was taken.

Murphy is back row 4th from left

Bogman,

That is indeed Tony Murphy.

However, he never actually played a game for Alty.

So, still one player to identify....
