Sadly Dave passed away last night after a long battle with cancer.
Another unsung hero of the club who manned the front door for years and also helped around the ground on non match days.

Dave was a guy who had time for anyone, all the players during my time thought the world of him, even helped with kit duties when Skellers needed any help, be sadly missed, RIP DAVE JOHNSON!!

Lovely man, was diagnosed after me which makes me a longer survivor and I told him the tricks of The Christie system, how to get what he needed and what to wear for what scan.  He did suffer a lot and I visited when he was a Christie in patient a few times.  I went to see him at St. Anne's hospice on the way back from my last scanand he told me he couldn't leave them bed he was in and wouldn't be going home.  He knew and I am devastated that I have lost a friend, a neighbour, a bloomin' good man and a gentleman.
