Anyone giving him grief last season was a nob. Managers need a bit of time. All right-minded people know this.

This is the important season. I'd say 4th/5th is par. Title challenge is difficult but achievable. Outside the playoffs would be disappointing and should probably see him issued a P45.

i think his defensive tactics and team selection at times were poor, if they would have been ok then i would have agreed with you, but you cant build a house without the tools to start with so for me he's got a lot to do to impress me....... i hope he can !!

There was bugger all wrong with the defensive tactics - but a great deal wrong with some of the players charged with carrying them out.
