I see Shildon are flying high in the Northern League at present. Would be great to see them promoted.

Is this the league in which the winners have declined promotion in the last few seasons?  :o

Or am I thinking of a different north eastern league?

Darlington won it last season and are just outside the playoff spots in the Unibond 1 North

It isn't that the league has no promotion spots, it's just that most clubs who win the league don;t accept promotion due to the travelling involved. If Shildon win the league they won't go up.
