I made the comment about Craig Hobson being suspended on RR - as the club website stats say, he has 5 yellow cards, as has Simon Richman. I didn't think it mattered that they were a mixture of league and cup, but I am prepared to be corrected.

An update on my previous post - thinking about it, Damon Mullen from Blyth was suspended for Saturday's cup tie having been sent off in a League match the previous Saturday, so league cards clearly apply to cups, and presumably vice versa. I think the club needs to check - the last thing we need is a points deduction!

League and Cup cards and suspensions have always coincided except The Cheshire Cup because the Cheshire FA are fossils.

The key date appears to be 30th November. If the stats on the website are accurate - & who am I to doubt Mr. Laidlar? - neither Hobson nor Richman had reached five bookings by that date & are therefore not subject to automatic bans on receipt of a fifth booking for the season.
