Following the Corby thread on here and Jack doing well tonight, is there any way we could have a look at rhead or is he out of our wage budget? He seems to have scored a few and a target man might be just what we need.

He seems alright and we will definitely need to sign a new forward but I don't think it necessarily needs to be a target man.

Reeves is an average height and Redshaw is small but that has been working well for us, probably better than when we had Twiss holding up the ball. I'd rather us sign another pacey midget.

By the nature of this league many defenders are not mobile.

Having pacey forwards is the way to go in my opinion.

I'd think it unlikely that a part-time player would relish uprooting all the way here from Corby.

I think the point with Rhead is that he's based up here somewhere.

That was my understanding also.

I did read somewhere he was based up here aswell. I do agree 2 pacey men have worked with Jack and Damien but thats because they are both really good. The likelihood of us finding another striker at Jacks level (if he leaves) are slim, so if Rhead can be got it might be some shrewd business....

"the Stags have beaten off competition – understood to be from Kidderminster, Tamworth, Telford, Forest Green and Altrincham – to sign the 27-year-old on a free transfer."
