Hereford have now apparently been expelled from conference
-
Look at the positives.
At least we get another local derby against Chester.

Let's volunteer our services to try to make sure they do?

Or have a couple of old bill stood at each end like every other club does for a derby fixture

This , I've missed the conference but I haven't missed the sort of nonsense at home games like chester and Wrexham. See much earlier threads regarding volunteers and how much they are appreciated, but volunteers can't deal with idiots like these

We as fans did our bit last time. The club was fully aware of the situation before it happened.

Thats the problem GMP won't just provide a couple of PC's it used to be a minimum of a Sergent and 7 or thats what it used to be
I worry about the lack of stewards as well all very good getting them from other clubs for a couple of games
but there is at least 8-10 high profile games it won't take long for the volunteers to get pissed off if you
keep bringing in hired help and they still get nothing.

I think previous experience indicates the need for a police presence. Unfortunately there are a number of ex-League clubs' so-called supporters who still have the League club mentality - something we could do without!

I can see why it'd be annoying. To be honest though, paying a hefty police bill is just one of those things you have to do to protect spectators safety. you shouldn't have to of course, but you do. It should be mentioned that this is only necessary where clubs bring 400+ fans so we have plenty of profit to pay for the police.
And on a spate note, it protects the stewards too. I don't want anyone taking a smack in the face for me, leave it to the old bill. These knobs turn up, see no police and know they can act up. See some police and they just have to mutter under their breath and watch the game. We're not talking about lining up a load of police horses in front of them.
Amazed I even managed 4 lines on that actually, it's such a no brainer that's it's barely even worth talking about.

All depends if the police have intelligence for this game or others last time in the Conference despite me giving them several match reports from other safety officers
they said only the Newport game should be policed. They would also come back to me from there counter part in the other club area and tell you they had nothing.
Last time we played York there police intel was 100-150 the club said 400 over 500 turned up on a Tuesday night lucky i had manage to resource extra stewards.
Check out the charges for police at football matches in 2010/11 season it was £2500 for 1 Sergent 7 officers minimum of 5 hours plus you also have to try and
convince the club to spend the money.

Probably cheaper to hire Colwyn Bay's "security staff" :D

and there they'll stay until the money is sorted out.
