A point to consider

You know how we were all hoping that the Alty Vs Millwall clash will be shown on Tv, during the weekend of 11/12, well i think this might provide some answers to that. Now i no it dosnt look much but don't you feel they might have Linlcon v Forest on the box and not us. Im only using them as an example but take a look at this from the bbc web site

Isthmian League Premier Division side Billericay Town will be looking to cause an FA Cup first round shock after being drawn at home to Swansea City.
The Essex side are 107 places below League One side Swansea.

Hartlepool will be looking to avoid an upset when they travel to Blue Square North side Gainsborough Trinity.

Other highlights include the ties between local rivals Lincoln City and Nottingham Forest and Yeovil and Torquay United.

So after reading that there are now a few posiblities the bbc might take?

The BBC  always seem to show non-league v league as at least 1 live match in the 1st round; that takes out Lincoln v Forest hopefully.

On the minus side they usually show live matches from the south. I think we have  more of a chance of being on Sky - though they don't mention the Alty tie either..

Milwall average home attendance? 8077

Milwall tickets available? maybe 1500 at the most.

Demand for TV live must be high but is it high enough?

to be honest the FA cup is about the small clubs against the big clubs. Other than swansea v b, who else is there? alty have a good history with the FA cup, and playing a one of the bigger clubs in the round, should prove good tv material. Leeds were always going to be one club on TV, even if they played frickley at 7am.

I reckon Hereford v Leeds will be one of the games (cue Ronnie Radford) and Billericay v Swansea will probably get coverage.  But Torquay v Yeovil could get a look too.

I'm not all that certain we'll get a live game to be honest.  Hope I'm wrong!

See the "FA Cup on telly thread - there are 2 or 3 other non leage v league games that could challenge our live TV prospects:

Farsley Celtic/Barrow v Bournemouth
Eastleigh/Forest Green v Rotherham United
Gainsborough Trinity v Hartlepool United
