The rumours have started by the look of it. If there’s any truth to it then you couldn’t begrudge him a move to a club like that.

I noticed that , that twitter account is the only source i can find and nothing on a couple of Swansea forums. Would have to be big money surely

Don't give it much credit atm but, if he does go at this point, that's us knackered for the play offs imho.

PS. Having said that however, we shouldn't begrudge him his shot at the big time. He's been fantastic for us.

His girlfriend is expecting again - after much upheaval for them this past year or two, I actually think he'll stay for a little bit longer - he's happy and loves his football here.

That said, if we can push the budget out any further I'd offer him improved terms if we can.

Do we think we'rre going to get any contract news this month? - quite a few we need to tie down.

Not seen this mentioned anywhere else other than this one account on Twitter, so would take with a pinch of salt. If he’s not in the squad tomorrow at Kiddy then maybe.

If it does happen wonder if loaning him back for  the rest of the seaon is an option?

If they paid 750k for Luke Williams to go there, I'd expect we'd get 7figures for CCC.

It would be a stark rise in wages for him as well, so I'd not blame him for one second, we wouldn't be talking a 50 quid bump in a move like that.

We could even push harder for more money now, less sell on if we wanted to avoid the Watmore gamble that didn't pay off.

I don't think it's true, but if we do get an offer that gives Chris such a huge opportunity and lines our pockets very well it would be in all parties interests to get it done.

Thankfully looks like it's complete rubbish.

I read somewhere a while ago that Peterborough were very interested in CCC.

Not sure if CCC signed on a one or two year deal last summer , if it was one year he could go in the summer for nothing

I believe he's contracted until the summer of 2026.

Wow, we gave him three years? I assumed it would have been two. He'll have a big price tag then.

Remember, recently Chris didn't quite make it at Fleetwood. This will be considered by any prospective buyers. It's more likely that a club like Chesterfield will pay a six-figure fee once they are promoted.

In the age of social media it's definitely to our benefit that his clips are picked up far and wide.

We all know his true value and if and when he leaves i sincerely hope we dig our heels in for a realistic fee which in my opinion should  be at least £200,000 + , especially if there's a built in sell on percentage for Fleetwood.  Mind you it is bound to be the usual 'undisclosed' episode with  us so probably never know anyway . Still 🙏 the lad will see out the seas
on of course.

Duncan Watmore allegedly left for around that almost 10 years ago - yes at least double it.Although if ccc was to go he may not be taking penalties for any potential new club.

Alex Newby seems pretty handy with dead balls in general.

I see that Josh Stokes joined Bristol City for £250k plus add ons, and then they loaned him back to Aldershot fir the rest of the season.

I think that's ultimately what I'd love to happen when we lose Chris.

Josh Stokes is the best player I have seen in the league. 250K is definitely a benchmark figure for any CCC sale.
