There's a message from Grahame Rowley on the club's official website.
-
Oh dear
-
Left it better than when he started as Chairman so I am grateful.
I hope to see some old faces back next season.
This club feels on the up, let's keep it positive.

Agreed!

Time moves on, situations change, as do personnel.
I wish the bloke all the best in his new role
Best wishes also to Bill & Lawrence
Onwards & Upwards

Thank you for carrying on the good work that was set in motion from Geoff Goodwin.
Still, seems like he still has a chip on his shoulder and could not resist another swipe at the loyal fanbase that makes this club what it is.
I look forward to what Lawrence & Bill are able to do on and off the pitch.

Agreed, wants to move but keeps moaning people had a go at him fo a double relegation never mind his attitude towards parts of the fanbase.

If I was to sum it up for me in a couple of paragraphs
GR has done an incredible job in the local community and we have become very stable which is testament to him
I do feel sadly though the once friendly local club that has done so well in the local community has lost a lot of connection with large parts of the fan base let's hope that picks up now
In terms of the abuse he refers to . It was disgusting some of the things I saw, and no one deserves that

Bit annoying that he's felt the need to put that bit in - and arguably he should have been moved into a matchday operations role ages ago, as that's clearly where he's most comfortable - but it's done now.
It's a hugely exciting time to be an Alty fan, and I hope that, if there's any stay-aways, that they can come back now and help us forward.

A significant number of those staying away have signed up for the patrons scheme in the last couple of days.

Correct

Time to look to the future and put old grievances behind.

Time to look to the future and put old grievances behind.
And yet a great opportunity to do so was just over looked.

The swipe at the fans is just typical of the ego.....the same fans who took on the £150k part of the HMRC debt for the club that he speaks of as if he cleared himself.
Delighted to move forwards finally and seeing old friends reappear at the JD.
The charity collectors can now collect without upsetting anyone in the board room which will be nice...
