In to these from the off. Lets get them dispatched. One of Parkinsons worse team showings laat time out.

Leaving aside you know what this is a game we need to win & I expect us too. A bizarrely high number of Rochdale fans online seem to think our awful 3-0 at theirs is representative of our wider level.

Gate will be interesting. I can see them bringing about 800-1000 & there being about 3500ish or so in. Floaters may decide late but the forecast is much better by Saturday.

Barring injuries, I would have thought same team as started on Saturday at Solihull.

Lads have good impetus and need to bring it into this game. Would expect a 3,000 plus crowd if weather improves on the day.

I'm hoping for an emphatic victory to make up for our dismal performance at their place.
I know there were problems with traffic etc so a reasonable excuse, but lets show them the reason why we are higher up the table.

Away on business…. How is the ground looking and what do any locals think about the chances of the game definitely being on tomorrow???

According to my app, 23mm of rain yesterday, 4mm till 8pm tonight and then nothing. It will take a miracle to get the game on tomorrow. Maybe if a midday inspection the volunteers and temp groundsman can pull it out the bag. odds must be against that.

Yep, depends on how heavy the showers end up being this afternoon, although predicted to be sunny and warmer from Saturday late morning so hopefully that'll see us through.

EDIT: forecast seems to be shifting all the time... heavier stuff now predicted for this afternoon, but sunnier for longer tomorrow morning - so hopefully balances things out.

Ironically, the weather conditions look really pleasant for the game itself - temperatures creeping up towards double figures and only a gentle breeze.

Now all ticket for away fans - no ticket sales if full or beyond 2pm.

I'm probably being a bit slow here, but don't we face the prospect of ticketless Dale fans coming in our end?

I just looked through the gate at the pitch. remarkably little standing water. If the weather improves, game should be on I think.

Lot of sympathy with the club on this one. Rochdale simply don’t have the support to warrant the 1,600 Oldham/Stockport level allocation so it’s sensible to advise their fans with 24 hrs to go to get one online in advance if you want to make sure. They’ll probably get v close to selling 956 though so can’t say they weren’t warned. I’ve no doubt a few of them may get in our end so let’s hope stewards & GMP are proactive tomorrow.

On a related note I hope their fans aren’t as highly tedious in real life as they are proving on Twitter with constant moans about the pitch, thinking were engaged in a conspiracy theory to sell them as many tickets online in advance & thinking they are in some way a big club.

Whose idea was it to have the tv commentator right next to the Radio Alty commentator? It's like having two people talking to you at the same time, terrible to listen to.

Great performance!  The 2 in a minute killed it.   My first venture onto National League TV here in the USA.  Picked a great local derby win.  Team look really good.  CCC is a joy to watch.  We looked like we could score every time we went forward.   Negatives……the pitch looks terrible 😞

The pitch is as bad as it will get. I believe we now have two weeks before the next home game. Surely the weather will dry up, a bit of spring sunshine and a drying breeze will help the ground crew.

Absolutely delighted with today's performance and result.

The pitch might look bad but it seems to play OK and as long as it doesn't damage our brand of football, that's good enough for me. Hopefully things will only get better from here.

As for the performance, well it certainly didn't look like it would play out that way after the first ten minutes when they were first to every ball and absolutely dominating - but after that it was completely one way traffic and we were just brutually clinical compared to them.

Big game next week, a point will keep us on track.

A really good team performance once we weathered the early storm. I really must single out George Wilson, who looked outstanding during his late cameo.

For all of us Alty curmudgeons who had harboured a grudge after the great re-election fiasco of 1980, that was a long-awaited and extremely gratifying performance and result.

I thought that Rochdale started well and looked OK overall, albeit without a great deal of invention or punch up front. Gilmour in midfield always impresses me.

We defended with composure throughout and were devastatingly clinical in the second half.

I hadn't realised that when you purchased an Altrincham FC beach towel, you would actually get the opportunity to use it on a day out on the sand at the J Davidson Stadium.;D

Another excellent result, congrats to Parky Sorvs and the lads. Rochdale put a lot of energy into closing down for the first 10-15 mins or so but after that we pretty much controlled the rest of the first half. Eddie Jones probably deserved man of match and Matt Gould again seemed faultless in goal. Will need to see the highlights again but it looked like Rochdale created a few chances but the biggest difference in the 2 sides was probably the finishing. Yes the pitch had sand on it in 2 big strips, but not much choice really given all the rain there's been and credit to the ground staff, a few of us were expecting the pitch to be a lot worse tbh.

Fantastic day and win.

Gould doing really well. We know our best 11 when Ross returns.

Up the Alty.

I'm starting to wonder how this season is going to end. We're looking stronger every game.

I can't let myself think about it too much!
The defence has tightened up considerably, we're a threat all over the place up front and the team is very settled.
Not letting in the late sickeners is a bonus.
I'm trying to not get too excited but, after 59 years of all kinds of emotions, this might just be the year I never dared hope for comes knocking.
Thanks for all the happy times, Alty, let's hope this great team and club can fulfil not just their dreams but ours too.
Come on you Supers 👍 🇦🇹 🏆 🥇 🇦🇹

Deservedly great vibes after yet another confident win , have to say that Matt has deputised for Ethan superbly so much so that we have not even missed him !  Massive bonus when most of us must have had at least a few doubts . After what happened in 1980 and 91 can't dare to get too far ahead but this team has more strength in depth than previously so fingers and everything else tightly crossed .

We have to be targeting 2nd or 3rd. Give ourselves a one-off 90 minute home shot of Wembley.

I wont say this after a losing final, but a Wembley final would be generation defining for anyone under 35, and could galvanise a whole new fan base to get us to 2.5k/3k regular home fans capable of winning this league

100%. Be keeping a close eye on the Trophy draw tomorrow. Barnet & Bromley both still in it-let’s hope for easier draws for both. Fixture pile up & cup distraction. The two strong favourites now surely.

Agree too on how a 4th Wembley appearance could be the making of a new generation. I’m just about old enough to remember the 28 game unbeaten run in the fabled 90-91 season & then the FA Cup tie at Spurs in ‘95 as two strong formative Alty memories. The younger generation of our support deserve one of these mega days out & it will have a hugely positive effect on our numbers going forward.

Also worth saying as I’ve seen a few on Facebook that seasons like this don’t come around very often. It’s the kind of season you’ll be boring younger supporters with in 20 years. Doesn’t need saying on here but every league game between now and Oxford City (they’ll be down by then, should be a cracking day out for all) is absolutely vital & potentially historic. You won’t want to be missing too much of it.
