I await the inevitable headline on the back page of next week's Messenger:

"Ecky Says Blame Me For Tactical Errors"

followed by a crisis meeting in the Noel White Suite.

35 yards!?!?!?!?!

I've heard of generous, but that is taking the piss - he was on the edge on the penalty area! - 20 yards at most

still a brilliant strike though. has the entries for goal of the season ended because that was a real contender for the best goal scored at Moss Lane this year.

Agreed,20 yards at most but an excellent strike all the same. I thought the supporters gave an excellent account of themselves tonight against a 'staff' team featuring a semi pro keeper and centre half and ex football league striker amongst others.

Apparently Stuart felt it would be wrong to celebrate his goal in front of the Alty fans who have made him such a legend which was a nice gesture...

That was the best the supporters have played for a number of years, only undone by a couple of errors that were well punished.

Very even match I'd say so I believe "The J Team" (Jordan and Jacobs) should be given a bit longer yet to get the trophy back.

We made two silly errors which cost us the game

However I felt the lack of suited management is what cost us really!

I think the board now needs to look for a young ambition manager such as Mr Cashin who has already shown great leadership in getting us to run in a straight line during the warmup

A nice moment was brian flynn warming up by running the length of the touch line to the corner flag to shouts of "are you going to catch a bus back brian?"

in my opinion the current management team have had long enough....it is a job for life....as sacked ex manager ecky will testify....the incestuous method of selceting managers isn't workjing...
