Mentioned the attendance earlier In the season and took a bit of a digging for doing so but discount the 200 they bought just over a 1000 is a pretty poor turnout was expecting nearer 1800 tonight.

It's obviously very early in the season, and things may improve alot as it goes on and in years to come, going full time may be the right thing to have done, but I've always thought there was merit, in being the best part time team in NW England. At least if you are turning full time, do a hybrid season first, to reduce the turnover of players in one close season. Obviously we've been unlucky with a couple of long term injuries before the season even started, which the management team couldn't have envisaged, but even so we look worryingly lacking in creativity in midfield and have little presence upfront. Add in a defence that can look very porous, it doesn't look good. Disappointing crowd tonight as well, it would be interesting to know what the average crowd, the club were budgeting on this season.

Neutrals won't exactly be falling over themselves to watch a team that hasn't managed to win any of its first 8 games.

True, but at £19 a game, I think a fair few Alty fans are picking and choosing their games.

1166 home fans for a night game isn’t amazing but not quite the end of the world either. Prices were always going to have to go up to sustain FT & whilst I think that’s one element a winning team would easily add a couple of hundred on too and dare I say it but a functioning Fanzone is going to improve the offer too. After four home league games we have an average of 1,967 which is ok for me but let’s see how that evolves between now and Christmas.
