Just a quick word to say many thanks to the players and the manager for the high fives with the fans near the players entrance after the game. For Lacie, Brooke and their friend Eloise, this is one of the high-lights of their games and they love the contact with the players as they acknowledge our support. They did this with quite a few fans stood near the players entrance last night. It may not seem much to the players, but it means the world to our foster daughters and their friends, and I'm sure the other fans. They play for the Under 10's Red and Black Kites and see the players as influential, and also indirectly, their colleagues. This helps the girls feel part of the club and thanks to the players for finding the time to do this. I could see they were angry and hurting after the full time score yesterday, but we all appreciated their efforts, and also for the fact they care for the fans of all ages and value their support. It was lovely watching the girls excitedly grinning as the players high-fived them, and is a lovely appreciative touch. Lacie as usual, kept a close watch on Joel Senior during the game as he plays right back, as she does (her game was cancelled yesterday due to weather and pitch damage).
Thanks once again lads!!
