Would be good to have some update on injuries more generally. Barrows has gone AWOL and no Lundstram in the squad.

Listen to Parkie's interview on the main website

Utd have some very highly rated youngsters such as Mainoo, Wellens and N Ireland international Galbraith

"Growing up as a young carer"

Says it all - one of the toughest jobs going and scandalously undervalued, but she's done it and done it well, as well as being a talented artist and interviewer of managers and all the rest of it. She's done things I can only dream of, and at such a young age. This club owes her a lot.

My Jennifer is one: lots I couldn't do without her.

Maybe Flynny lost his dongle!

Just wondering that myself. I'd like the Mixlr service to also be available as I miss the chat option it provides during games so listeners can discuss the game in progress

Can still get the chat option up alongside the Radio Alty commentary...except today, as we have lost commentary due to lack of wifi connection

Absolutely right

I'm sorry if my comment changed the direction of the thread a bit.

I was hoping that, if nothing else, the individual concerned would at least not post any more crap about Erin

It is upsetting ATS, but has to be highlighted in the hope the mindless troll might be shamed.

Erin does a wonderful job for the club, not least highlighting our "welcome to all," and, as Steve highlights, our junior girls are a true credit to the club.

Sadly though Erin has been trolled, not only by those who don't believe Women belong in football but also by an Alty Fan and regular contributor to this site who think she's getting too much undeserved credit and that there are other fans much more deserving of the attention

There are no words for this...that I can repeat on here, anyway.

Anybody know if Alex Samizadeh is playing, he is a right winger/forward, and looked good at
Trafford

Not a starter, but we have several un-named triallists on the bench

That is a wonderful article. Erin, mum and grandfather should be very proud.

The bit that struck home to me was when Erin spoke of nerves, overcoming those feelings and now waiting to interview managers. As a middle aged bloke living with a bag of nerves and anxieties I can only admire her and use Erin and her approach as a way to make progress myself.

Thank you for posting.

Christopher Robins Treacle Butty.

Agreed

https://www.steam-packet.com/conditionsofcarriage

'30. In the event of a cancelled sailing or delayed sailing likely to exceed 90 minutes after the scheduled departure time Passengers will also be offered the choice between (a) re-routing to the final destination under comparable conditions as set out in these Conditions at the earliest opportunity and at no additional cost or (b) reimbursement of the ticket price. Such reimbursement of the ticket price at the full cost as purchased shall be made within 7 days in cash by electronic bank transfer bank order or bank cheque.  Alternatively if the Passenger agrees the full reimbursement may also be paid in the form of vouchers and/or other flexible services in an amount equivalent to the price for which the ticket was purchased.'

This is puzzling then...

No such rules for SNP's Calmac. If the weather stops the sailing we are screwed!

A professional club should have a professional website.

It looks very good and does have room for improvement, but I would be very surprised if this was not remedied shortly.

Seen Macc are building a Fanzone.
Yes, I saw that in the Macclesfield Express. Two headlines, side by side:

“MACCLESFIELD TO BUILD FANZONE” and “LOCAL FARMER LOSES SHEEP PEN”

Love it

My concern at this stage with the squad so far is where are the goals going to come from? We've lost Mooney and Hancock and haven't replaced either yet. I can't see Hulme being prolific (hope I'm wrong), so that only leaves Colclough and to an extent Kosylo. I'm sure we will be bringing one or two more attacking players in but they need to be top quality, as you say.

Exactly my fear, at present.

Two of our top four goalscorers from last season have departed: Mooney (13 goals) and Hancock (9 goals).

To be fair, 9 goals was a decent return from Hancock given he was press ganged into centre forward duties at times.

With Hulme up front all season he may have reached 12-15.

These are two shoes we need to fill with quality. Easier said than done I know but these aren’t replacements we can scrimp on I think.

Call me Mr Pedantic Pants, but wouldn't replacing Hancock and Mooney be 4 shoes?  ;) ;) ;)

Wouldn't they be footy boots, rather than shoes? Sorry to be picky and all that...

 ;D ;D ;D
