I don't care if it was a great strike by smikle, I am annoyed it was even included and would certainly not vote for it....what an insult for anyone who watched him wander aimlessly around Trafford fc for his one and only contribution in 3 months to be recognised .....



Agreed.

I refuse to vote for it on principle.

What are we going to do if he wins this competition - invite him back to receive his award to huge acclaim?!

Clee; Reeves and Walshaw (v Leamington) for me.








Seems a little short-sighted to veto Smikle's goal because he's left. By that principle, should we not expunge the records of anyone who ever left the club?



I'm not advocating a boycott of Smikle's goal merely because he left us.

I simply cannot countenance voting for it because the man was a complete charlatan during his fatuous spell at the J Davidson Stadium.

There are plenty of players who have departed from Alty who I would welcome back with open arms.

Mind you, there are also a few who I would welcome back by greeting them with a line of crack marksmen and the cry of "Open fire!"
