Histon sound like the sort of team that make no friends football wise in the BSP but people who have never seen them play will always say what a plucky little village team they are

Can I sincerely wish Histon every good fortune with their promotion bid this season? There is no team I would like to see in League Two next year more than them.

The only way to play them is to do likewise but you need at least two giant centre backs plus a big fast target man.

Histon must surely be the most frustrating opponent we have faced in recent years.

They are both sh*te and impossible to beat.

I hope they get promoted/relegated/go bust.

Regardless of the fact we are continually crap against them, I really wouldn't care of they went out of existence.

Their average crowds are about 500 and the ground is miles from the train station.

I'd be worried about scoring there, imagine the injuries, the stands behind the goals have a roof about a foot above head height!
Easy bus ride from Cambridge though.

Worryingly for next week I recall Mick Harford was not averse to a long hoofball and muscle technique a few years back. Hope he wasn't there today but I suppose someone from Luton will have been.

Yes i am,seems a strange sub to make unless its to rest Stu.Just been back reading BBC thread wonder if Stu got a knock just before HT

I had walked round to just behind stuarts goal as the HT whistle went and Stu jogged gingerly towards the tunnel presumed he might be back in the second half or be given 10 mins too see how it is but should fingers crossed be able to play luton because ralphy is likely to play tuesday no big guns on tuesday i would presume.

Having seen us lose at Histon in September I full well pity the 953 inside the ground yesterday. My mate was covering the game for the NLP and I had warned him what to expect, he texted back this morning with 'You were right the ball had snow on it. It was truly awful'.

Onto the Cups then, I wouldn't write Wrexham on Tuesday off, you get a few quid for winning Setanta Shield matches so it's important we give it a good go. I saw Luton lose 3-0 on the Championship this morning, 8 lads under 21 in their starting XI apparently including 6 teenagers. I think we have a sniff next Saturday definitely.
